Annotation:

Nowadays scientific and educational specialists of higher education institutions should meet the requirements to be highly professionally experienced and skilled in the modern educational methods and technologies. They should be responsible personally for the quality of the education for the upbringing of creative and intelligent personalities, the future experts. The paper emphasizes the problem of evaluation teacher’s effective activity from the point of view of the behavior competence. According to this task the existing tendency towards the definition of teacher’s competences has been studied. The model of the competences of a higher school teacher has been presented by the author. The worked out model has been coordinated with the strategical plans of the higher educational institution and has been adapted for the existing corporate culture.
