The article analyses peculiarities of akmeological approach to various aspects of scientific and pedagogical activity. Peculiarities of akmeological approach as the methodology of scientific research have been revealed in ontological, gnoseological, aksiological plans. With regards to professional training akmeological approach is defined as a system of principles that serves as a basis of creation of psychological preconditions of the students’ professional self-realization. Akmeological techniques of training are reviewed as the joint activity of teachers and the students, directed to formation of the system of required professional knowledge and skills, strengthening of positive attitude to an occupation, to themselves and surrounding people, activating of self-development of students.
