| Annotation: | PR-specialist is characterized as a representative of the innovation-oriented rapidly growing profession. The list of major professional competences that are the basis of PR-activities has been determined. The specificity of PR-specialist’s activity has been analyzed from several positions: education, skills and abilities, professional ethics, and licensing of PR-activities. According to the author, the strategies for the modern PR-activities improvement are: the development of specialized PR-education; strengthening of the moral and ethical responsibility principles efficiency in the public relations’ sphere, introduction of the nongovernmental licensing practices into the PR-area. |
