One of the major factors determining the status of science in the modern post-industrial society is its ability to meet the market demands, and to effectively and fast cover the way from proposing the scientific idea to its practical implementation. Unfortunately, introduction of the results of scientific-research activities into the practice is not the advantageous property of science. In order to change the current situation and to make science the source of new knowledge and technologies, it requires strong state support. The system ‘education – science – production – market’ can serve as the new approach. Resolution of such task is impossible without training of specialists having not only basic scientific-technical knowledge but economic knowledge in terms of the modern innovation-technological trends.
