Innovation potential as the basis of competitiveness of russian industry

The article examines the concepts of formation of the innovation potential of industrial enterprises. Dynamics of development of Russian industry in the last 20 years against the background of inefficient economic policy shows the problems associated with the formation and use of the innovation potential of enterprises. Objective analysis led to the conclusion of the specific content of the innovation capacity, which essentially consists of two main points: innovation potential is defined in terms of the resource support of the innovation activity; innovation potential is reviewed at different levels of use as the set of abilities and opportunities of the economic entities for achieving the goals of innovation development.
