The thesis is devoted to the possibility of using еuropean region «Slobozhanshchina» in the context of unification of the international transport corridors between Europe and Asia on the basis of the analysis of transport and geographical position of its transit potential. Constraints in the development of Ukrainian-Russian border are highlighted. The new trends are identified in the development of the international transport system, which is manifested in the creation of the international transport corridors, which is a combination of the most technically and technologically advanced communications and transport. The authors has proposed the formation of a transcontinental road based on the use of the Trans-Siberian Railway, as well as the highway connecting China through Kazakhstan to the European part of Russia and Ukrainian railroads.
