Participation of university in the innovation upgrade of the regional industry

The article presents the characteristics of the universities activity (development of innovative potential of universities, introduction of innovative processes at the enterprises, creation of small innovative enterprises, peculiarities of implementation of innovative projects for business, rendering consulting services to small businesses, personnel training for transfer of the region innovative technologies) and their role in the formation and development of the regional innovation system. The authors represented positive experience of the results of the innovation triad «creation – transfer – introduction of innovation» by the example of a particular project and the possibility of using the forms of public-private partnerships.
