| Annotation: | The article presents the results of testing the method developed by the author for assessment of the socio-economic efficiency of tourism activity on the example of the regions of the Baikal region (Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia). The method used involves assessment of the socio-economic efficiency of tourism activity in the region (tourist destination) in three interrelated aspects: economic, social and effectiveness of relationships. The results of testing confirm the viability and practical suitability of the proposed method for conducting regional, inter-regional studies, as well as for comparative studies of the tourist destinations. |
