| Annotation: | Spatial analysis and assessment of the most important components of the economic development potential (PEDMP) of municipal districts of Volgograd region is performed in the article based on statistical data of 2012, including labor, natural and environmental, industrial, institutional, organizational and information subsystems of PEDMP. Thematic electronic maps (cartograms) developed in GIS confirmed objectivity of spatial inconsistency of factor components of economic development potential of municipal districts. The method of comparative spatial analysis in GIS based on cartograms allows examining inconsistency of economic development of municipal districts in the regional economic environment, and establishing spatial interaction of all factor components of their economic development potential. |
