Annotation:

The object of investigation is the livestock-breeding in Brazil and the agricultural policy of the country. The actuality of the selected topic is stipulated by the necessity to study the country's agricultural policy in the livestock-breeding sector, particularly in terms of membership in the WTO. The purpose of the study is to determine the required changes and trends of the agricultural policy of the country in the field of animal husbandry in terms of membership in the World Trade Organization. The key commitments on tariffs and support of agriculture adopted by Brazil when joining the WTO are examined in the main part of the article. The basic features of the Brazilian livestockbreeding and agricultural policy are identified, which should be noted by the countries joining the WTO. The obtained results can be used for development of the national agricultural policy of the country in the field of animal husbandry in terms of membership in the WTO.
