ADMINISTRATIVE LIABILITY FOR VIOLATIONS OF ELECTORAL LAW

The article examines administrative responsibility for violations of the electoral legislation, analyzes norms of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation for protection of the citizens’ electoral rights. The authors proposed classification of the direct objects of administrative violations of the electoral legislation presented in the form of various groups. Based on the analysis of statistical indicators of activity of the courts of general jurisdiction for 2012–2016, the trends of development of the electoral law are determined, and the gaps and controversial issues are identified. In conclusion, the article provides brief conclusions of the study: the authors note that the revealed features of the institution of administrative responsibility for violation of the electoral law are positive.
