PROSPECTS FOR CREATION OF SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES ON THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF ABKHAZIA

| Annotation: | The article examines the prospects of creating special economic zones on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia. The reasons of creation and the positive economic results achieved as a result of successful functioning of special economic zones in Russia, China and the United States are revealed. The overall analysis, on which basis the scheme of existing types of the economic zones in the world, was conducted. It is concluded that on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia the most appropriate would be establishing of four types of zones intended for production development, implementation of innovations, promotion of tourism, and construction and modernization of seaports. The results that were managed to achieve in the project of the seaport construction in the special economic zone on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia are described. |
