| Annotation: | The article examines some current problems of classification of ecological crimes based on the analysis of scientific approaches in the modern theory of Russian criminal law and legislation in the field of environmental protection. The author proposed definition of «environmental crime», under which the socially dangerous act (action or inaction) is understood specified in the Criminal code of the Russian Federation and aimed against the established environmental law by causing harm to the public in preservation, restoration and rational use of the environment, its components and ecological safety of the population. The classification of environmental crime, depending on the object of direct assault is presented. |
