THE ROLE OF COMMUNICATION INFRASTRUCTURES IN THE INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES OF THE REGION

| Annotation: | The article examines domestic and foreign methods of evaluating innovation activity. On the basis of the analysis of changes in domestic statistical forms and the foreign methodology of assessing innovation activity, the key factors of innovation activity are defined. Such factors as «human capital » and innovative infrastructure are examined in details. The influence of the institutional environment is studied separately. Particular attention is paid to the role of communication infrastructure in innovation activity. The need for priority development and the high importance of the communication infrastructure in the process of implementing innovation activity is noted. |
