LEGAL REGULATION OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE START-UPS IN THE FIELD OF BIG DATA

This article examines the issues of determining the degree of development and elaboration on the doctrinal and legislative levels of such concepts as start-ups and big data. The article substantiates the need to expand the types of objects of intellectual property, the refusal to legislatively fix the closed list of such objects, by referring to the intellectual property objects of the «other results of intellectual activity». Special attention is paid in the article to definition of the concept of «Big Data», the content of this concept, as well as to the analysis of the prospects of legislative regulation of this kind of data. The authors of the article expressed a proposal on the possibility of assigning big data to the objects of the civil law.
