The study confirms that the existing system of professional training of future specialists in extreme activities, such as civil aviation and customs control, requires some reorganization. The paper examines the factors affecting the psycho‑emotional stability of students of these universities, the dependence of professional suitability and reliability on this quality of personality. The paper argues for the further need to adjust the training programs of future specialists, which represent the synthesis of different disciplines and include technologies that contribute to the development of professionally important qualities. The article analyzes the scientific views on the category of professionally important qualities from the standpoint of the extremity of professional activity. The features of stress resistance to different circumstances of students of two specialized universities of 1–3 courses in six areas of training are revealed. The basic, dynamic and final indicators of stress resistance with the motivation of the choice of constructive and destructive ways to deal with stress are determined. The analysis of stress resistance of students was conducted, as well as its compliance with the regulatory requirements. The data obtained indicate that the students of the universities concerned generally show good data on stress sensitivity, show an excellent degree of self‑control, and normally cope with difficult situations. The paper reveals the differences in the formation of stress resistance in students of the studied universities, identifies natural ways of avoiding stress, positively affecting the emotional state. The insufficient motivation of students in the choice of constructive ways to deal with emotional stresses is demonstrated, such as sports and physical activity. Destructive ways, such as delicious food, TV, computer games, have great value in fighting against stress. |
