STRUCTURAL AND COMPONENT COMPOSITION OF INFORMATION CULTURE OF CADETS AS A PROFESSIONALLY SIGNIFICANT QUALITY OF PERSONALITY

Annotation:

The article examines the issues related to the formation of information culture of cadets related to the processes of informatization of society and, as a result, the informatization of military education. The author analyzes the existing approaches to definition of the concept “information culture”, clarifies the concept “information culture of cadets as a professionally significant quality personality of a specialist”. The article discusses the content, structure, components, criteria and indicators of the information culture of cadets as a professionally significant personal quality. The features in the formation of the information culture of future officers are noted, the factors causing the process of its formation in a military university. It is indicated that information culture is an individual and personal characteristic, in the center of which is a value‑semantic attitude to professional activity. The determinants of the process of formation of information culture are defined: the processes associated with the informatization of society and information technologies, pedagogical interaction in the conditions of the military university; personality development of a cadet; diagnostic activity of the teacher. In the structure of information culture, cognitive, reflexive, emotional‑axiological, communicative, and technological components are distinguished. All selected components are interconnected and interdependent and are considered in accordance with a systematic approach. The techniques used to identify needs, the state of possibilities for the formation of information culture of students, and the results of the ascertaining stage of the experiment are described. In conclusion of the article, it is noted that the formed information culture will allow the officer in the future to correctly predict the results of his actions, differentiate and analyze the incoming information, use modern high‑intelligence military equipment and technology, establish communicative relationships and establish contact with subordinates and co‑workers.
