Any economic system regardless of its internal configuration or external impact needs investment for rational development. The volume and structure of investment, as well as the efficiency of the way it is put to use, may influence the development of both the country as a whole and its specific regions in particular. The value of investments in various sectors of the economy cannot be overestimated, since it is investment activity that characterizes the availability of opportunities to free up financial resources and direct them to development, and also reflects the economic expectations of potential investors. According to the rate of activity in investments, reproduction of the national economy is distinguished. This article presents the methodology of integral indicators of investment activity of the regions. The Federal State Statistics Service, on the basis of existing methods, estimates such indicators of investment activity in Russia as: investments in fixed capital, construction volume, industrial production index, machinery and equipment production index, electrical equipment, electronic and optical equipment index, transport production index facilities and equipment. The authors also propose a different set of indicators that are taken into account in the models for predicting the investment activity of the regions. |
