The article studies the problems of the impact of migration processes on national security in the context of regional development. In particular, various approaches to the study of the concept “migration security” are systematized and threats and challenges of migration are classified. Since there are a large number of the region’s security migration indicators, we have combined them into blocks. We have identified the main indicative blocks of society’s activities, most vulnerable to migration. A conclusion about the regional security and peculiarities of migration processes is drawn on the example of the subjects of the Urals Federal District. It is based on the analysis of the dependence of the migration coefficient on some indicators included in the indicative blocks. Our hypothesis on the relationship between the scale of migration and the development of the region made it possible to develop a model for forecasting the secure number of immigrants. The peculiarity of our model is the ability to determine the required number of labor resources involved in the country (region), taking into account the need for qualified personnel. Methodological research tools include mathematical methods for processing statistical data, comparisons and analogies, analysis and synthesis, abstract-logical, historical and retrospective methods. The results of the research give grounds to believe that the proposed model will allow to coordinate the flow of migrants, thereby reducing labor market tensions by providing regions with the necessary amount of labor resources for their economic development. |
