Annotation:

The article discusses the essence of the concept of “personal identification” as a problem of pedagogical practice. The causes of the crisis of self-identification in modern schoolchildren and factors affecting the formation of personality identity, including the formation of a system of values, personally significant meanings and beliefs, a stable worldview and moral behavior, are identified. The expediency and significance of the research topic for the education of the younger generation is substantiated. The analysis of the basic characteristics of personality identity and features of its manifestation in primary school age is carried out. The formation of a child’s identity is defined as a process of self-knowledge and identification of a person in dialogue with society and the world of culture. Based on the identified factors affecting the process of personality identification, an approach to solving the problem and a model of the formation of identity in the process of general art education of younger students are proposed. The theoretical and methodological basis and context of the proposed model is the concept of innovative textbooks in the visual arts from the line of textbooks in all subjects for elementary school, developed by a group of authors of Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen, developing tradition of the St. Petersburg methodical school; Federal state standards for elementary general education; a systematic approach to designing the pedagogical process. The study determined the structure of the content of training. Based on the selected components of the content, stages of the formation of the identification of primary schoolchildren on the basis of artistic and creative activities are proposed. Criteria for the formation of identity in primary school students are determined. The novelty of the research topic is to determine the structure of the content of art education and the stages of its implementation in elementary school for the establishment of identity within a specific academic subject in conjunction with extracurricular meta-subject activity.
