TRENDS AND DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL BUSINESS IN THE VOLGOGRAD REGION

The article deals with the problems of small business development in the Volgograd region and the Russian Federation over the last historical period in the context of modern development of business processes. The necessity of development of entrepreneurship in the conditions of low entrepreneurial activity of the population, as well as possible ways to stimulate it in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation is justified. The efficiency of small business is calculated using the activity coefficient. Based on the study, the authors propose a set of measures to stimulate this sector of the economy. The subject of the study is the economic processes associated with the development of small business in the region. The object of research is small business. When studying economic processes in small business, the method of analysis and synthesis is used, which involves the study of socio-economic phenomena in the economy of both the Volgograd region and the Russian Federation as a whole. Due to the combination of statistical analysis and synthesis, the study provides a systematic integrated approach to complex multi-element objects of research. The work also uses historical and logical methods. Results of the study: the socio-economic processes in their historical sequence were studied in detail, along with logical associations that allowed us to evaluate the studied processes in General and draw conclusions on the need to stimulate small business in the region and in the country as a whole. The main conclusions of the study can be considered: the rationale for the need to improve the efficiency of regional administrations in the field of support for small and medium-sized businesses by calculating the coefficient of business activity in the Volgograd region.
