This paper deals with the problem of forming value orientations of future officers undergoing military training at civilian universities. The formation of the value-semantic sphere of future officers is one of the priority tasks of the military training center, since it is the value orientations that form the Foundation on which the subject position of future officers is built. The formed subject position will ensure the professional orientation of students and will allow them in the future, when faced with difficulties in their official activities, to compensate and make up for the lack of military training, in comparison with graduates of military universities. The subject position of a military training center student is understood as a special developing feature, based on the student’s subjective experience, including the awareness of one’s own value as a figure capable of transforming the surrounding reality and themselves, understanding the value of education as a source of self-improvement and the value of military service as a future professional activity. The content characteristics of a subject position are determined by the acceptance of certain values. Value orientations are considered as the most important element of the subject position of an individual, which determines the level of their development. The values accepted by the student reflect their personal characteristics associated with a certain idea of themselves, the meaning of educational activities, the significance of the chosen professional sphere and their place in it. The content of students’ value orientations in military training centers is specific, due to the nature of the officer’s activity and the specifics of its goals and objectives. Based on the study of various approaches to the content of the value-semantic sphere of military specialists, the most significant terminal and instrumental military-professional values of a student of a military training center are determined. Together with them, the structure of value orientations of future officers includes the values of the subject of the teaching and social values that students should be guided by. The author conducts a comparative analysis of the valuesemantic sphere of students and cadets of a military university. The author substantiates significant differences in the military-professional value orientations of students and cadets. The conclusion is made about the need for purposeful formation of the axiological component of the subject position of future officers in the conditions of a military training center, which includes value orientations for military professional activities. |
