ANALYSIS OF QUALITY COSTS IN THE MEASURING LABORAТORY OF THE CENTER OF METROLOGY OF THE RAILWAY INDUSTRY

The article discusses the importance and necessity of quality cost analysis. Modern market relations dictate their own rules, where the quality of goods and services plays a major role. The success of an organization directly depends on customer satisfaction, and the customer, in turn, prefers quality products and services. To provide the population with high quality products and services, it is necessary to build and maintain a quality management system. To accomplish these tasks most efficiently and with minimum losses, you need to take into account the costs that ensure quality. The article discusses the activities of the center of metrology of the railway industry. This is an organization that provides services in the field of measurement uniformity to railway departments and third parties. The article describes and applies quality cost estimation models. With the help of calculations, the efficiency of the laboratory of the metrology center of the railway industry and the total quality costs of the center are determined. The article demonstrates the need to analyze the quality costs in measuring laboratories and organizations operating in the field of uniformity of measurements and metrological support of measuring instruments. Besides, the practical application of quality cost models in the measuring laboratory of the metrology center of the railway industry and in the center as a whole is presented. These data may help in understanding the application of quality cost models in metrology laboratories and centers, show the need for quality cost analysis and the ease of use of the analysis for the construction and operation of a quality management system in various organizations.
