The paper discusses various methods for assessing the innovative potential of enterprises in terms of structure, resources, research and development, and effectiveness. Further, a comparative analysis of methods for assessing innovative potential was carried out according to the following parameters: personnel; finance; objects of intellectual property; material and technical equipment; control; marketing; the influence of the external environment. Conclusions are made about the features of the application of the considered methods at various enterprises and the main advantages and disadvantages of the considered methods are indicated. Calculations have been made to determine the innovative potential on the basis of financial statements of enterprises of various sizes and fields of activity that carry out innovative implementations in production processes. Based on the data obtained as a result of the calculations, the authors made conclusions about the practical applicability of the considered methods for assessing the innovative potential of an enterprise. It has been substantiated that the most accurate assessment, including the largest number of parameters, can be obtained using structural and R&D methods, but the resource method is the most suitable for an enterprise’s self-assessment of its innovative potential. The practical significance of this work lies in the fact that the results obtained provide an idea of the existing methods for assessing innovative potential, their features, as well as the existing limitations on the use of these methods. The authors draw attention to such a factor of external influence on the innovation potential of enterprises as the state. The degree of influence of the state support on the development of innovative processes taking place at the enterprise is analyzed on the basis of statistical data. Thus, the question is raised about the possibility of including the degree of the state support in the list of parameters affecting the innovative potential of the enterprise. |
