The article presents a comparative analysis of didactic and methodological material, considering the methodological and historical issues of the emergence and development of cycling for people with visual impairments. The dynamics and effectiveness of the participation of Tula athletes in the sport of the blind in the discipline of cycling-tandem are considered. The issues of methodological comparative analysis, the historical genesis of the development and formation of the development of tandem cycling are currently insufficiently studied. The prerequisites for improving the sports activity of cycling tandems in sports for the blind for competitive activity remain poorly studied. It was found that the bicycle tandem got its name from the peculiar design of the frame, which is intended for the joint riding of several athletes located one after another, and was invented by Michael Pedersen in 1898. The bicycle tandem is controlled by the “pilot” sitting in the front, and the athlete with visual impairment located behind (“stern”). The bike tandem is used as a rehabilitation and recreational tool, as well as for sports purposes. The first cycling (tandem) competition for visually impaired athletes began in the 1980s. Cycling entered the Paralympic Games program in 1984. The basis of the Russian Paralympic Movement is, firstly, promotion of physical culture and sports for the disabled and people with disabilities; secondly, strengthening of international cooperation in the field of adaptive sports; and thirdly, participation in the Paralympic Games. It should be noted that tandem cycling is actively developing in the Russian Federation. A wide network of adaptive sports centers is being organized in the regions of the Russian Federation, including the Tula region. Tula athletes are included in the reserve of the Russian national team for participation in the Paralympic Games, which gives grounds for improving the material and technical base and the system of sports training, which is built taking into account the medical, psychological and pedagogical characteristics of persons with visual impairment and other individual characteristics of athletes. |
