The article examines how mastering the chess game affects the development of the prerequisites that a child needs for successful learning in primary school. Readiness to learn remains an urgent problem of modern education. Sociological studies show that parents are not always satisfied with the level of preparation of future first graders, which they receive by the end of preschool education. It is important to keep looking for new pedagogical tools that can be used to develop the prerequisites for a child to be successful in school. In the Soviet system of preschool education, it was assumed that the prerequisites for educational activity are reduced to a stock of knowledge, skills and abilities. Today, this approach can be considered overcome, at least at the level of psychological and pedagogical theory. Modern research is associated with the study of those qualitative mental and behavioral neoplasms that are necessary for a child as prerequisites for further learning. At the same time, we adhere to an approach within which it is customary to distinguish communicative, cognitive, regulatory and personal prerequisites for educational activity. Chess is a unique developmental tool for pre-school children. It has the attributes of play and learning at the same time and enables a natural transition from play to learning activities. To successfully master the chess game, the teacher must build a cooperative relationship with children in the classroom. Cooperative relationships arise if an adult, when interacting with a child, harmoniously combines the role of an organizer, assistant, and equal partner in the game. The conducted research has shown that the chess game contributes to the formation of personal, communicative, and regulatory prerequisites for educational activity. |
