This article is devoted to clarifying the concept of professional deformation. The authors have analyzed the types and forms of manifestation of professional deformation of a teacher, identified the range of factors provoking professional deformation, offer a model for the prevention of professional deformation of university teachers, and determine the range of conditions for its effective implementation. The model for preventing professional deformation of a teacher is built on normative and legislative documents; it includes modern requirements of the society. The theoretical and methodological basis of the model is composed of a set of approaches: systemic, environmental, personality-activity, which is a guide to determining the content block of models and the goal set. The article focuses on highlighting the problem of preventing professional deformation of a teacher. This problem is in demand in the format of the changes taking place in Russian society, including education, where the emphasis is placed on the teacher’s self-improvement both as a personality and as a professional throughout their life. Along with the characteristic and clarification of the concept of professional deformation of a teacher a comparative analysis of such notions as “emotional burnout”, “professional burnout syndrome”, etc. is carried out. The carried out theoretical analysis allows to single out the signs of professional deformation, to determine the influence of deformation on a number of distortions in the structure of a person’s self-consciousness and behavior, in the same way it is noticed how the teacher’s orientation on values and motives changes and the physical exhaustion becomes progressively evident. The main value of the article lies in highlighting the stages of development of professional deformation and considering its types (personal, labor, professional, etc.), as well as in determining the factors influencing the acceleration of its manifestation, which, as revealed in the process of theoretical analysis and generalization of educational experience, include features expressed in the qualities of personality, type of nervous system, relationships. The authors of the article pay special attention to the definition of methods for diagnosis and correction of professional deformation. The content of the article consists of methods that allow effectively and qualitatively prevent professional deformation of a teacher. |
