The article raises the problem of reading culture. Everyone can read: from schoolchildren and students to specialists, but not everyone has a reading culture, which is characterized by a clearly set goal, a choice of sources, creative perception of the text, the interaction of emotions, thinking and imagination. The relevance of the raised issue is due to the fact that society needs a qualitative change in the content of education, overcoming consumer attitudes to the culture of reading — the basic component of education, upbringing and development of the younger generation. Reading culture contributes to solving educational, professional, communicative, social problems, strengthening ethnic, confessional, socio-economic ties at the regional and global levels. The national program of support and development of children’s and youth reading in the Russian Federation (2016-2026) contributes to improving the status and quality of reading, developing cultural and reading competence of young people, forming high civic, spiritual and moral values among the younger generation. The cultural and educational environment of educational institutions creates conditions for education, upbringing, development, socialization, and formation of moral orientations of the individual. The educational potential of reading culture is a resource that, when activated, is able to give a socially significant result. The educational potential of reading culture is constantly developing, evolving, ensuring the transition of the subjects of the pedagogical process from one state to another, more perfect one. It is possible to contribute to the implementation of state programs for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values without additional material costs, paying attention to the promotion of reading culture, innovative technologies for working with text. |
