Every year, the number of studies on the role of entrepreneurship in Russian universities is increasing. Over the past decade, many higher education institutions have been implementing educational programs that focus on the formation of entrepreneurial skills among students. Young people are the main generator of ideas, as they are able to quickly adapt to emerging innovations. In this regard, social projects are being launched, entrepreneurial centers, business incubators, technology parks are being created. Of course, this improves the knowledge of students, but the innovative product does not reach the stage of commercialization. Due to gaps in legislation on entrepreneurial education and lack of funds, as well as the structuring of the phased implementation of a business idea, all the knowledge gained remains just knowledge, and not a realized startup. Technological entrepreneurship is defined as the act of transforming innovation into a marketable product. Academic institutions, which are mainly aimed at generating new knowledge and disseminating it, have become involved in such acts in recent years, transferring technologies to industry. While entrepreneurship is generally thought to be about creating start-ups, technology entrepreneurship at the university takes this and many other forms. Technological entrepreneurship is an important factor in the development of the country’s economy in general and universities in particular. Its importance is increasing every year. The article considers the interaction of technological entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as its role in the university environment. A review of the state of technological entrepreneurship in Russia and abroad has been completed. Technology entrepreneurs rely on advances in science and technology to realize new business opportunities, which is why it is so important to develop technology entrepreneurship itself at an early stage at the university. |
