EVOLUTION OF THE RUSSIAN WOOD INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX COMPANIES IN MODERN ECONOMIC CONDITIONS

The purpose of this article is to identify possible ways of adapting domestic companies of the wood industrial complex to modern conditions of the functioning of sales markets, to substantiate possible key areas of development, to identify the role of state support in ensuring this development. The proposals are based on the identified modern problems in selling products of the wood industrial complex, which has a long production cycle. The process steps are: wood harvesting — mechanical processing — wood chemistry and pulp and paper processing — transportation of finished products to consumers — forest care. The study was based on a methodology for assessing the competitiveness of an enterprise, which is based on an assessment of the competitiveness of products and actual financial performance. The methodological approach makes it possible to take into account the potential of not only existing projects, but also to assess the feasibility of implementing new adaptive measures aimed at establishing long-term interaction between domestic companies in the wood industry and new markets, both for the supply of products and the exchange of technological backlogs. The results of the study can become the basis for shaping the development of wood industry entities, whose focus is on finding new markets. The methodological basis for identifying trends in the transformation of the world economy in the wood industry was modern methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the development potential and the attractiveness of an enterprise and managing operational management, as well as investment planning. The scientific hypothesis put forward, which consists in identifying the possibility of transforming the development strategy of Russian wood companies in the current economic conditions based on reorientation to new markets, is proven. The tools used to substantiate the provisions and conclusions, taking into account the specific nature of the issue under study, are at the theoretical level: methods such as systemic, structural-functional, analytical and comparative analysis; at the empirical level: statistical analysis. The article contains a statement of the problem for the formation of proposals for the transformation of domestic companies of the wood industrial complex, as well as the wood industry as a whole.
