Assessing the educational achievements of students is an element of the education quality management system in higher educational institutions, which makes it possible to ascertain the existing level of quality and predict the possibility of increasing it. The purpose of this study is to describe the hardware and software complex for a pedagogically sound technology for integrative assessment of the level of competence formation of a technical university graduate. The authors’ approach to the problem of management support for an educational situation in which a student realizes himself as a subject of professional and personal development is of significant interest and determines the relevance of the study. Practical significance is substantiated by the creation of pedagogical tools, which allow to promptly, objectively and efficiently carry out continuous and comprehensive monitoring of the learning process and its results in students of technical universities. Theoretical significance lies in the identification of hardware requirements and development of software for the technology of assessing the level of competence formation of a graduate of a technical university. It is concluded that achieving success in modern engineering activity is not limited to the development of only cognitive and technical skills of an engineer. To fully realize the personal and creative potential of future engineers, their training process should be organized in such a way as to promote conscious reflection, continuous monitoring of their own development and targeted development of professional experience. For this purpose, education quality management mechanisms should be used based on systematic monitoring of the compliance of students’ educational achievements with established standards and requirements, which are determined by the specialist’s professional development model. The authors’ idea about the method of quality management in technical education is supported by theoretical justifications, technological developments and has been tested in the course of experimental work. |
