PRODUCTION OF INVESTIGATIVE ACTIONS FOR THE SEIZURE OF ELECTRONIC STORAGE MEDIA

The article presents a study on the peculiarities of conducting investigative actions regarding the seizure of electronic storage media. It comprehensively examines the legal nature of electronic storage devices, taking into account various foundations presented in the scientific community. The main focus is on identifying the problems that arise during the seizure of electronic storage media and data copying from them during investigative actions. The author analyzes the current criminal procedural legislation in order to identify existing deficiencies and proposes specific directions for its improvement. Special attention is given to establishing the legal status of electronic storage media and the necessity of developing relevant legislative norms and mechanisms to ensure the authenticity and integrity of evidentiary information. Through a deep analysis of judicial practice and conducted scientific research, the author draws specific conclusions and offers recommendations intended for scientific, law enforcement, and legislative purposes. The presented findings and recommendations are based on a review of procedures for seizing electronic storage media during investigative actions and aim to improve them. They provide recommendations aimed at optimizing the process of seizing electronic storage media. Overall, the article not only provides a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and peculiarities of conducting investigative actions related to the seizure of electronic storage media but also offers specific recommendations for improving the current legislation and practice in the investigated field. These findings and suggestions are of significance for further advancement of science as well as law enforcement and legislative regulation in this area.
