The article presents an analysis of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus and the Grodno region with the aim of identifying the interrelations between regional and national development. The study revealed that the sanction pressure is a factor that adversely affects the economic potential of regions and the country as a whole. The article analyzes the impact of sanctions on the key sectors of the Belarusian economy. Measures are identified to reduce their negative impact and ensure sustainable regional development. The formation of territorial production complexes using a cluster approach is proposed, taking the dairy industry in the Grodno region as an example. This will allow the concentration of resources and efforts of various cluster participants in a specific geographical area, thereby creating synergy and increasing the competitiveness of the dairy production. Considering the geographical location of the analyzed region, the development of transnational corridors passing through the territory of the Republic of Belarus is proposed. The role of the knowledge economy in achieving the set goals is determined. It is found that regional universities play a significant role in this process as they produce specialists with the necessary knowledge and skills to work in modern conditions. The article also justifies the feasibility of investing in the development of satellite cities with a population of over 30,000 people as a key to ensuring the quality of life, increasing employment rates and developing infrastructure. The developed measures represent effective tools for ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the Grodno region and the Republic of Belarus as a whole. |
