The study considers the problem of shaping the
moral position of future psychology teachers in the process of
their professional training at the university. The relevance of
the topic is revealed, which is determined by the lack of its rep-
resentation and elaboration in the field of modern research,
while the peculiarity of the profession of a teacher-psychol-
ogist is its appeal to universal and personal values, to mor-
al feelings, empathy as important components of a person’s
inner world, the formation of which is the main task of educa-
tion. The author’s definition of the concept of moral position
of a teacher-psychologist is proposed, in which an essential
feature is a belief system. The key aspects of the formation of moral guidelines among students studying in this specialty
at a classical university are analyzed, a brief description of
which is also presented in the article. As part of the study, a
survey was conducted, the results of which revealed students’
ideas about the moral position of a teacher-psychologist, as
well as their awareness of their own moral position as future
specialists. The method of conversation on ethical problem
solving complemented and expanded the information received
about the views of future educational psychologists on the
moral component of their chosen profession.
The article offers an analysis of the data obtained and dis-
cusses their importance for the training of highly qualified spe-
cialists who are able to effectively interact with students and
their families in accordance with their moral beliefs and pro-
fessional duty. The importance of increasing attention to the
moral aspects of the future profession in the process of mas-
tering educational programs, during practical classes and dis-
cussions, special courses and trainings for the development of
professional skills that will help future specialists deepen their
understanding of the specifics of their profession and be suc-
cessful in it is emphasized. |
