Annotation: When introducing an inclusive approach to the education system, the requirements for the personal and pro- fessional qualities of the teacher should change. In this pro- cess, there is a change in the essence of the specialist’s work, his duties, his competence, the requirements for his cognitive, affective, psychomotor abilities, emotional and volitional manifestations, communicative, methodological and practical skills, as well as for his personal qualities and personal responsi- bility. The standard skills and abilities formed at the early stages of education in the shaping of universal and general profession- al competences do not yet guarantee a teacher’s full success in professional activity. The teacher often lacks specific inclusive knowledge in the education and upbringing of persons with dis- abilities, he faces difficulties in fulfilling his duties and actions in an educational environment where an inclusive approach is applied. Due to this, in the process of training specialists in peda- gogical education, special attention should be paid to the forma- tion of specific professional inclusive competences. It is indicated that professional competences and indicators of their achieve- ment are recommended to be developed by the educational orga- nization itself. It is only in the latest third generation educational standards that inclusive competence has become one of the group universal performance outcomes (and that only in the standard for the field of training 49.03.04 “Sport” with obscure goal-set- ting – ‘able to use basic defectological knowledge in social and professional spheres’). Nevertheless, today the competence mod- el of a specialist and the list of inclusive competences formed by students of a sports university in the process of theoretical and practical training remain uncertain, the specifications of the inclusive competence of a teacher with higher sports and ped- agogical education have not been clarified. The study presents data revealing the content of inclusive competences formed by students-teachers at a sports university (on the example of Rus- sian University of Sports “GTSOLIFK”).
