The article examines the application of mod-
ern technology of teaching a foreign language — microle-
arning. The author reveals the concept of microlearning as a
technology that breaks educational material into small mod-
ules or microblocks in the era of the influence of clip think-
ing on learning, which leads to a superficial perception of
information and difficulties with concentration. The author
examines the specific aspects of microlearning as an effec-
tive tool in teaching English to law students. The problem
of learning legal English is knowledge of the basics of legal
terminology and the ability to draw up legal documents. The
large amount of content of the work program and the com-
paratively small number of practical exercises lead to the
fact that students have difficulties in applying the acquired
knowledge. The relevance of the research is also determined
by the need to adapt teaching methods to the needs of mod-
ern society and the specifics of the professional activities
of future lawyers. All of the above requires the development
and application of new technologies in the learning pro-
cess. The purpose of the research is to develop and test the
effectiveness of the use of this technology in modern English
teaching for law students at a non-linguistic university. The
author reveals the features of microlearning, its principles,
components, and reveals its potential to improve the quality
of teaching a foreign language to law students. The research
can become the basis for further scientific work in the field of microlearning of legal languages or teaching foreign lan-
guages in general. The results of the study show how effec-
tive microlearning is for learning legal English compared to
traditional methods. |
