According to paragraph 1 of Article 48 of the Basic
Law of Russia, every citizen is guaranteed the right of access to
professional legal assistance. The article considers the role of
the legal clinic in the framework of improvement and develop-
ment of scientific and educational activities of students in areas
of training and specialties in the field of jurisprudence. Legal
clinic is an important component of practical training of stu-
dents, providing an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge
in solving real practical situations. It allows developing skills in
drafting legal documents, legal analysis and interpretation of
legal norms, as well as gives experience in communicating with
clients — real people who have faced legal problems and life
difficulties. In addition to the application of theoretical knowl-
edge in practice, the legal clinic also forms personal qualities of
students, including stress resistance, communication skills and
the ability to work in a team. This allows by the end of the edu-
cational program to fully meet the demands of modern employ-
ers. The article describes the experience of implementation of
the legal clinic in the educational programs for training lawyers
of the Saratov State Law Academy. Special attention is paid to
the educational (introductory) practice, which is mandatory for
all students, and internship in the legal clinic, which acts as
one of the directions of development of the practical part of the
basic educational program of higher education. |
