The modern consumer cooperation system in Russia
has a well-developed network of shops, warehouses, supply points
and manufacturing enterprises, which are interconnected on the
basis of cooperative legislation. The main link in a cooperative is
a shareholder, a member of a cooperative society that is based on
the principles of honesty, respect and openness of cooperative busi-
ness. The cooperation system is focused on benevolence, humanity
of society, creativity in work, justice, and of course, innovation and
social development. Consumer cooperation pays great attention
to the development of social infrastructure in rural areas, ensur-
ing food security of the rural population. Members of consumer
cooperatives apply environmental technologies in the production
of food. The article examines the conceptual model of the transition
of cooperation to a green economy, which is relevant in the light
of the promotion of the strategy of green growth in Russia. Green
growth means stimulating economic growth and development
while preserving natural resources and continuously providing
them with resources and ecosystem services on which our well-be-
ing depends. For the development of consumer cooperation, most
of which is represented in rural areas, it is important to preserve
ecology, but at the same time, the lack of technological capabil-
ities sometimes prevents the full achievement of environmental
sustainability. Therefore, in order to implement the concept of
green growth in cooperatives, it is necessary to introduce the GRI
sustainable development reporting system, which will positively
affect the development of consumer cooperation through a struc-
tured approach to assessing the impact of cooperatives on society
and the environment. The application of these standards will not
only increase transparency and social responsibility of coopera-
tives, but also strengthen their market position, making them more
attractive to consumers looking for responsible and sustainable
consumption options. |
