Estimation of the cost of information project

The presented article has analyzed the modern methods of estimation of the cost of projects connected with creation of new software. The author of article has revealed differences between the processes of the projects economic estimation, which are connected with creation and introduction of the automated systems, and the projects connected with creation of the new software, which is duplicated and sold through a network of distributors. The article has reviewed various approaches to the estimation of information projects in sufficient details. The conclusion has been made that all modern approaches to estimation of information projects are approximate, and it is necessary to specify time required for each developer for working over each project. The software that allows considering the work of each employee on various projects has been developed for these purposes. It has been proposed to define the total cost of information project on the basis of contribution of each employee to the project.
