Under the conditions of accession of the Russian Federation to the WTO, the issue of food security in our country is becoming increasingly important, turning into one of the most important components of the state economic policy. In its turn, achieving the food security is impossible without an effective system of its financial provision. The paper justified the need for monitoring the efficiency of financial food security of the country; proposed principles, as well as manufacturing, financial, and social indicators for its fulfillment. The evaluation of the modern level of the budget financing of agriculture in Russia, as well as effectiveness of financial support of the country food security has been provided.
