Assessment of the status and prospects of increase of energy efficiency in Russia

The article revealed the current state of energy saving and energy efficiency programs in the Russian Federation. The modern level of energy capacity of Russian economics is determined in the research. A comparative analysis of energy capacity of the RF economics and the economics of the other countries is conducted. The comparison was conducted among the countries with the highest consumption of primary energy and among the countries with similar conditions (GDP per capita, structure of the economics, average annual temperature and the area of the country). The issue of setting the task of increasing the Russian economics power efficiency was examined. The main prospects of the energy saving and power efficiency increase programs in Russia were defined.
