ANALYSIS OF DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES OF PUBLIC CORPORATIONS IN MODERN RUSSIAN ECONOMY

The presence of the company’s development strategy is an essential element of the management system and the key to successful operation in the face of increasing competition. Public corporations operating in strategic sectors of the Russian economics, and the issue of development and implementation of the long-term strategies of their development is particularly relevant. The article reveals the peculiarities of the institute of public corporations, defined the historical stages of its formation. It describes the concept, nature and characteristics of the legal status of state corporations. The various interpretations of the concept of the organization’s strategy are provided, as well as description of its key elements. The analysis of public corporations development strategies revealed a number of shortcomings that need to be taken into account when designing and implementing new development programs.
