The article examines the major classes of errors in construction of the simulation models of economic processes within the agent-oriented paradigm. The error classes are defined at different stages of construction and use of these models. The work identified the following classes of errors: interpretation, formalization, operationalization, errors of simulation tools and calibration of the models. The paper emphasizes importance of the model validation stages and the adequacy verification by means of the set of test cases that are critical in the authors’ opinion. Complex, essentially nonlinear nature of interaction of examined errors may result in significant reduction of the adequacy of calculation of the models and impossibility of using these results for practical applications. |
