Annotation:

The article provides an overview of concepts that can be combined into a single category of «legal service»; approaches to the definition of the concept of the quality of legal services carried out in the interests of citizens from the point of view of management and the theory of services are analyzed. The author revealed the shortcomings in the theoretical elaboration of the problem of assessing the quality of legal services as a category of complex services. The parties interested in ensuring the quality of legal services are identified: the state; professional legal associations; lawyers, including law firms (service providers); citizens (recipients of services). The attempt is made to underline the set of evaluation characteristics of the quality of legal services, consisting of three groups: professional characteristics, procedural characteristics and consumer characteristics.
