The article reveals the urgency of the issue of the speech‑reasoning development of children of the senior preschool age, degree of the issue mastering, goal of research, theoretical and practical value of the work. The author presents brief characteristic of the monologue speech, as well as of such type of statement as reasoning; reveals features of the preschool children ability to reason different topics referencing the data of children examination. The diagnostics proposed by the author of the abilities of the senior preschool children to argue and prove, as well as the proposed criteria of children’s statements assessment are of interest. According to the results of examination of the senior preschool children, children mostly have the middle level of the ability to reason at the stage of statement. It was difficult for children to underline reasons in favor of the statement and to formulate pronouncement: they could not either start explanations correctly or make conclusion. The article reveals the main stages and directions of work on the development of a coherent monologue speech‑reasoning in preschool age. The author considers the upbringing of a linguistic attitude to speech and the formation of an elementary awareness of the peculiarities of text‑reasoning by children of preschool age: its purpose, structural features, lexical and grammatical design as the main position of its methodology. For the implementation of the tasks, such techniques were used as determining the topic of reasoning, omitting parts of the reasoning, modeling its structure and much more. As an important condition for the effectiveness of this work, the author recognizes the interaction with parents, reveals the stages of such interaction, the content of each stage. Analysis of the results of the control examination showed that significant changes occurred in the ability to reason of preschoolers in the experimental group. |
