REFLECTION METHODS IN MANAGEMENT TRAINING IN THE BACHELOR’S EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Annotation:

Competent economics and management specialist should possess modern tools and techniques of industrial enterprises management, have the soft skills — critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, project work, customer communication etc. The bachelor course “Management” should contribute to the development of these skills. A research hypothesis: successful mastering of competencies listed in the new Russian federal state educational standards is possible by using the self‑reflection method. However, in education and practice of management and this method is given lack of attention. According to the authors, the reasons for this situation are the difficulty of using the method, faculty member’s incomplete knowledge and unwillingness to improve it, undervaluation of the reflection possibilities. Managers and professors generally attend to the use of “hard skills” — direct professional skills and abilities to work in strict accordance with established professional stereotypes, but they do not work in seeking to resolve of non‑standard problems. The article states that necessity of the self‑reflection methods particularly apparent in situations of difficulty, when arising problems seem have no solution at first sight. In the research developed the manager’s self‑reflection scheme in a situation of difficulty using which is more efficient during method mastering. The authors gave a description of method mastering as a combination of instruments and ways of passage from one reflexive position to another. Shown that a higher level of method mastering and developing the ability for collective self‑reflection is most fully achieve in organizational and activity games. Using the practice examples of participation in these games, the authors described series of results demonstrating the advantages of using the methodology of collective thinking activity.
