The modernization of education in Russia, in particular, requires the appearance of new disciplines in high and higher schools. This article offers the recommendations to the teachers for arrangement of the students’ work in the discipline “Individual project”. The authors identify and describe in detail the 4 stages of teachers’ work with the students: introduction to the project activities, collection of material on the project’s theme, information processing and project implementation, preparation for the defense and project defense. The educational activities are organized in the form of lectures, of practical training and consulting work. The proposals on the accounting of teachers’ hours of work for the preparation of the projects are given. The article is devoted to the actual and new theme in the conditions of the modern Federal state educational standard’ appearance, the theme of arrangement of the students’ project work supervised by the teachers. The subject of the analysis is the chronological stages and details of this process. The authors aim to reveal the essence of the teachers’ educational work within the carrying of the discipline “Individual project”. The basis of the research is the quintessence of the theoretical and empirical methods, as well as the analysis and synthesis of the available information sources on the subject of this article. The results of the study are that the authors explicate the specifics and the periodization of the teaching staff actions during the process of the students’ project activities. The article summarizes the authors’ experience of the discipline “Individual project” teaching at the university. The results of the study can be applied in the sphere of the secondary vocational and secondary special education in the colleges and high schools.
