The article is devoted to the issues of improving the quality of teacher training in the north‑eastern region of the Russian Federation, major part of which is covered with the Arctic zone. A special role belongs to training of specialists of pedagogical profile on the Master’s degree programs. The types and kinds of educational organizations in the region (small schools, nomadic schools and kindergartens, associated schools, etc.) are presented, and therefore, there is a certain specificity in the name of the programs (for example, “Pedagogical support of childhood in the North”, “Theory and method of forming a multilingual personality in a multicultural society”, etc.), the content of the educational process of the master’s program, final qualifying works. The results of a pilot study of future teachers enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs at the North‑Eastern Federal University named after M K. Ammosov (“Teacher of the Arctic” and “Teacher School 2030+”) are presented. Thus, one hundred and twenty students of pedagogical profile say that, first of all, a new generation teacher must possess the skills of IT didactics, be communicative, creative, have high‑quality knowledgeable technologies, empathic, tolerant, with an active lifestyle, etc. Also provided are expert opinion of 29 employers on their expectations of a graduate of a modern pedagogical university (an innovator who knows how to design and manage projects, owns new pedagogical technologies, etc.). The pedagogical trajectories of the school teacher of the Arctic are defined, which should combine the functions of a tutor, moderator, subject, game master, organizer of project work, etc., taking into account the division of pedagogical work. Higher pedagogical education is faced with the task of preserving the best learning traditions and updating the training of specialists in the conditions of digitalization of education, taking into account the professional standard of the teacher and the national‑territorial regions of the Russian Federation. |
