Annotation: |
The article spotlights tutoring support of children with disabilities in the frames of supplementary education. The authors underline social contribution of tutor’s activities. Based on real examples, the authors underline importance of tutors’ role enhancing in the frames of educational institution providing supplementary education. The enhancing is explained by frequent situations when not only children with disabilities, but also a tutor should establish relations with the world. The article overviews the ongoing efforts in shaping of the Model of Work and Technologies of Social Assistance (Tutoring). The model is aimed at development and education of children with disabilities, namely visual, supporting‑motor apparatus, hearing and speech impairments. Social assisting in the Model implies usage of a range of technologies diagnostics (socio‑cultural and verbal); consulting; development of socio‑cultural roadmap (using way of questioning); development of vocabulary. The Model suggests special diagnostic instruments and approach has been developed with a help of which the specialist assisting the child should provide efficient support. The specialist assisting the child with disabilities should not only know his special needs, but also know the mechanisms of the child’s perception, attention, memory, emotions and possibilities. Based on these psychological functions and mechanisms the assistant should be able to shape his work on the ground of constant communication with the child in the field of inclusive environment choosing the most suitable way of communication allowing the child to be involved in a day‑to‑day events and be successful in educational process. For the pupil with disabilities in the frames of educational institution the main distinctive trait of a social assistant is special professional position, which integrates function of assistant and tutor required for such children. |
