Annotation:

In the context of the transformation of the higher education system, aimed at increasing the corporate nature of educational institutions, the role of creating cooperation between universities and the business environment, which ensures an increase in the quality of services provided to the population, becomes significant. However, to achieve the goals of the participants, interaction is necessary to ensure the consistency of their interests and minimize existing financial risks. In this connection, in the framework of this article, the author proposes an organizational and economic mechanism of interaction between the university and business, functioning on the basis of trust, which facilitates the transition of relations to a higher quality level of interaction. The paper highlights and classifies the main prerequisites for the emergence of trust in economic relations, and also considers the correlation of the time factor, level of trust, and type of interaction. Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign scientific literature in the field of trust in the economy, the author defines the phenomenon of “trust”. In the mechanism of interaction between universities and business, the author added such participants in cooperation as state bodies acting as the regulator of relations, and unions and associations of entrepreneurs that act as mediators of the transfer of interests between business and the state. A feature of the proposed mechanism is the presence of such elements of trust in the system of relationships of the participants in the interaction, such as: a set of principles of cooperation, the prevalence of informal institutions, as well as an assessment of the level of trust necessary for timely management decisions before or after the organization of cooperation to adjust and improve the main directions increased trust from partners. The theoretical basis of the study was the conceptual provisions of the scientific works of domestic scientists on the development of the economy of trust.
